Financial Coordinator

Our client is an investment company with a Mission to fight climate change with the Agri-food revolution and invest in disruptive companies reshaping the future of our food systems.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Coordinator to join their team in Brussels.
The financial coordinator will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely accounting, and providing accurate financial reports and analysis.

You are bilingual (FR and EN, NL is a plus), hard-working team player who can achieve results, and enjoys working in a dynamic start-up VC environment. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent analytical, mathematical and communication skills.

The position will report to the founder and President of the Company.

Your Responsibilities


  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, process payments, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Prepare financial reports and coordinate/assist with financial planning and analysis.
  • Monitor budgets and financial performance and identify areas for financial and improvements.
  • Assist/manage with audits and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team and coordinate the financial/legal back-office.
  • Ensuring compliance with authorities, financial guidelines, and regulations.
  • Interact withLP; investors and shareholders relationships (reporting, data preparations, etc.).


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's / MSc degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with financial software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (in creating advanced spreadsheet and with ability to present financial data using detailed Power Point reports and charts).
  • A “doer” with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills in French and English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be located and work physically in our Brussels office.
  • Attention to details and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Willingness to learn new businesses at the frontier of technology.
